Oi fam!!

So last week after emailing you guys my companion got a call from President telling him that he was called to be the new assistant in our mish. Then a few minutes later I got a call too, telling me that I'll be going back to Mossoró, my first area that I was a year ago. I'm in bom jar dim today which is pretty close to my last area! I dont know if I will stay in Mossoro, or not because the American that was here went home early cause he was sick. So that was pretty sad. I got to talk to him in the bus station before I left and he told me that he'll come back after he gets better!

I was pretty sad to only have stayed in Natal for one month and then having to leave. But at least Pres sent me to Mossoró! I think everyone here still remembers me. The other day we were walking through downtown and somebody was yelling my name on a motorcycle. I'm excited to be here and work. Every missionary wants to be in Mossoró! My comp doesn't know much about the area because his comp was sick all last transfer.  This week is transfers again so we'll see what happens.  I'll send some pics.

And no mom, I don't need anything. Yeah, I got my last 2 packages and all the pic's and letters. Tell everyone thanks. That was a good idea and I really liked the banner from the YW and the pictures of the YW and YM holding it. I wanted to send a picture back with everyone in my house holding it but it rained and water leaked through the ceiling and ruined it. I got my converse, but you didn't need to send new ones but they will do thanks mom. And tell Genniel and Spencer and Kim and all the Wagstaff's thank you.

Love you guys and thanks for all of the support and prayers.  Last week in my last area they baptized 4 of my investigators after I left.  I don't know who was baptized, but I know that your prayers helped a lot!

I'm Alive!!!!!

Sorry I wasn't able to write you guys last week but I have a good excuse for not writing. Last week we went ao maior cajueiro do mundo!!! The biggest cashew tree in the world. A member here invited us to go this pday and in the morning when we went to use the internet all of the stores were closed. But we left after lunch and took the bus and stayed there until like 5p and then on the way back we got stuck in traffic so we didn't get home until late at night. I've already been to this tree because it is really close to my old area in Parnamirim but I never entered but this time i did.

My last 2 weeks have been good. We worked hard to give you a good birthday present mom. Last week we baptized 4 people; Felipe, his sister Shirley and their cousin Maria Clara and their friend Lucas! Then the next week we baptized 5 more people. Felipe, Julio Cesar, Italo, Ruanderson and David. So these last two weeks have been pretty busy but we still need to baptize 6 more to reach our goal of 15 this month. So we'll see what we can do. So please pray for these people that we have so that we can see a miracle here. Especially Dona Laura that she can gain courage and a response, also Fernando, José, Mateus, Erick, Luis, Carlos, and Narthesson. He's atheist but is making huge steps, this week in church he said a prayer and thats huge for someone that didn't even believe in God last week but he has a difficulty believing in Joseph Smith so pray that he can get this answer! Also, Leandro.

These last two weeks I have seen so many miracles in my area and I can really testify to you guys that angels are ministering to Gods children here on earth. But I'll just give you guys one story really quick.
Dona Laura is 87 yrs old and she doesn't believe that she needs to be baptized again in our church because she was baptized as a baby in the catholic church. But we explained the way Jesus was baptized and read  in Matthew. We explained he was baptized in the River Jordan. Also that he walked for three days to find John the Baptist and that only John in that time period had that authority from God to baptize.  Jesus was baptized when he was 30 years old. He had a conscience of what was right and wrong unlike a baby that is so pure in the eyes of God and they have no sin.  God said that children are the kingdom of God. We taught her how we receive the Holy Ghost and when Jesus received the Holy Ghost it fell upon him like a dove.  But in the new testament we see that when John gave people the Holy Ghost he did it by the position of hands above their heads. But Laura understands all of this but still doesn't want to take this step.  She tells us all the time that she is too old to be baptized again and that this is a thing for the youth and that she only wants to leave this world to meet with him again.  But we know that God is prolonging her life so that she can be baptized before she leaves. She always tells us that she has to talk to all of her kids before she makes this decision because she receives alot of help from them. But we know it wont happen cause they live so far away and she doesn't have their numbers.

Me and Elder W. Silva this week went to her house to try one last time teaching and following the spirit trying our hardest but she didn't want to accept and told us these things like she always says so we were about to cut her telling her that we won't be able to visit her anymore and stuff.  Then from nothing two little girls 4 or 5 yrs old entered her house. These little girls are ones that we have already talked to on the street and they asked what we were doing and we told them that we were trying to help Laura be Laura that we were preparing to baptize people on Saturday and that we wanted her to watch those baptisms that day and she said she would. Then the little girl out of no where whispered in my ear and then in my comps ear telling us that we should make a surprise for her that day and  that we will baptize her on Saturday. So last Saturday when we had those baptisms planned there wasn't any water in the font and that day it also rained so she wasn't able to go. I know for a fact that is why it rained that day because that day me and elder quiroja went there to baptize everyone and their wasn't any water so we also had a miracle that there was a member that was there that offered us his pool that day to baptize everyone.  Elder w. silva was in our area working and was going to bring Laura to the church but since it rained he didn't bring her. If it hadn't rained he would have brought her to the church and there would have been no one there.

I love u guys

Feliz Aniversario Mãe!!!!

Big 48 mom, your getting old(; i hope this week goes well for you and that you guys have lots of fun in ny. Last week was pretty crazy with the new year and also pretty hard especially on new years day! New Years day we werent able to teach one lesson, thats how bad it was no one was home. But we worked all day like normal and pretty much did the same thing that we did on Christmas and went the Sister Isabels house to eat and hangout at night! We had a barbecque and helped them set up their party that they were going to have at midnight with a bunch of people. We filled up a bunch of balloons and set out decorations for them. We werent able to stay but it was still cool cause we went home and waited until midnight and then climbed on the roof to watch the fireworks hahha. Dont even ask how we got up there! The next day everyone was pretty tired but it was worth it!

Last week we doubled the standard again and had 19 people visit the church on Sunday!!! So there has already been 17 mlracles (the movie) but we had 19 haha. It was a really good turn out even with a bunch of people that traveled and went to the beach on Sunday. It was so funny to see the Bishop's face when we walked in because the sacrement room was pretty empty but then we came in with 19 people and the elder balaich also brought 10 so we had the Bishop smiling from cheek to cheek.

We didnt have any baptisms last week which was pretty sad because everyone traveled and Dona Laura didnt go to church because where she lives is super dangerous and her son was drunk in the street so she didnt want to leave. I hope we can help her. But i think this week we are going to start focusing on her son, I think this will help her a ton!

Last night we had a really spiritual experience. We are teaching a family who we already baptised their two kids, but now we are working to marry their parents. its crazy to see the changes in this family ever since their kids were baptized. They have seen a change in their kids and they now want to change for the better  too. The mom told me that ever since we meet her she stopped drinking and yesterday the dad stopped too! We just have a problem with the dad because he doesnt want to marry. They have been together for 8 yrs now and he was raised in a family that was in another church so he really doesnt understand sometimes and has never even thought of getting married. The mom wants to get married but he doesnt feel prepared so we taught them about the law of chasity and brought a member that also lived together for a long time but got married recently. We also bore our testemonies and asked them both to pray tonight for a answer from God! So pray for Moisés!

Those pics were super sick of you guys burning down the Christmas tree at the dunes hah I showed my comps thats how we do it where i live, they all though it was really cool.

But i love you guys i hope you guys have fun in nyc and eat a ton... be safe love you guys!
